One of the popular illuminations in Sapporo is Akapla illumi. This illumination, situated next to the Hokkaido Government Building and held at the Kita 3-jo Plaza (Akapla) in Sapporo, has a limited showing time and date. The illumination can be seen from November 19, 2021- March 14, 2022. The times are 4:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Wrapped around the towering ginkgo trees are a long string of Tri-colored Christmas lights that constantly emit bright colors such as purple, green, blue, pink, and white. This is a great illumination for tourists and especially photographers.
